On Marking Books

Scot McKnight (probably my favorite “Friend of Emergent”) has a great piece today titled On Marking Books.
I’m a recent convert to marking up the books I read — now that I’ve started, I find that I “own” the material much better; I think it’s a discipline well worth embracing. I suggest every Christian who values the life of the mind should never open a book without a pencil in hand.
