Need balance again ... apologetics is part of ministering to others, but so is caring for and loving the lost.

It just seems that no matter how much you love, the lost will always have unanswered questions that they just want addressed. It also seems that no matter how much you deal in facts and theoretical ideas, the lost will still be looking for an authentic emotional aspect to our faith.

I just heard today on a White Horse Inn CD today how Shaffer begged youth leaders to present the Gospel first as true, not just helpful.

You and your readers can pray for me as it seems a softball has been tossed in my direction. An old acquaintance of mine emailed me after 13 years. He said that he remembers me being strong in my spiritual walk and that he can't go on living like he is so he wants me to talk to him about Jesus. (Which I can only assume will involve some level of apologetics.)

Does stuff like this really happen? Please pray that I listen first and communicate the Gospel well. Pray that God will open Tony's heart to the message.
