I’ve written before about the folly of the postmodern idea of “tolerance.” Perhaps my favorite theologian, D. A. Carson, observes that postmodern tolerance is not only logically inconsistent, it’s utterly incoherent. It’s not only self-defeating, it’s on par with a statement like “this is not a statement.”
Rather than excerpt heavily, I’m just transcribing here a lengthy chunk of a lecture Dr. Carson delivered in 2003 (see below for the MP3 link).

I just saw something in the WordPress Planet feed about a beta release of Windows Live Writer. I decided to give it a try.
So far, I’ve typed a title and an opening paragraph, and of all the offline blog editors I’ve tried… this one is winning.
If you like writing in Word because you get spell-checking and the other features of a richer editing environment, this could be the answer to you blogging needs.

I’m working on setting up the podcast for forgodsfame.org. I’ve gotten so I know more than I care to (and less than I need to) about the way MP3 files are supplied with extra information called “tags” (or “metadata”) that tells you the title of the piece, who the artist is, what album it’s from, etc. Suffice to say: it’s a royal mess.
