Doubt About Darwin is Unconstitutional

The judge in the Dover, PA intelligent design case has issued his verdict in favor of the Darwinists.
The interesting point drawn out in the article linked below is this:
…several members of the Dover Area School Board repeatedly lied during the trial to cover their motives for promoting intelligent design even as they professed religious beliefs…
This should serve as a cautionary tale to those who would be effective in the battle for truth. It is truth, not belief, that matters.
Furthermore:
…the school board’s policy on intelligent design violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
…but here is what the trial was about:
The case stemmed from the school board’s decision last year to require 9th grade biology teachers to read four paragraphs to students regarding intelligent design at the start of lessons on evolution.
“Because Darwin’s theory is a theory, it continues to be tested as new evidence is discovered,” the statement said. “The theory is not a fact. Gaps in the theory exist for which there is no evidence.”
The required statement went on to say, “Intelligent design is an explanation of the origin of life that differs from Darwin’s view.”
Exactly what religion was being established here? Or is it that the state religion of Darwinism was being challenged?
